Reggae/dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has told Ghanaians to stop comparing him with his protégé.
Stonebwoy and KelvynBoy became friends after the former trained the latter in music.
But Stonebwoy cut ties with KelvynBoy after some months.
The ‘Bawasaaba’ hitmaker said Ghanaians should rather recognise the impact he made on KelvynBoy’s carrier than see them as co-equals.
Speaking in an interview on 3FM, Stonebwoy said: “One thing I want to say is that isn’t it sad that someone will try to pick me Stonebwoy over someone who walks in my image and try to make it look like there is tension.
“I haven’t said anything about this case. But the said artiste (KelvynBoy) is someone I brought into the limelight. Sometimes, I wish people will look at it from that perspective”.
Stonebwoy explained that he trained KelvynBoy and does not see why he must be compared to him.
“It’s rather sad because this is someone I picked from nowhere. This is someone who was begging to be signed by me. I haven’t spoken about this issue and the reality of the issue is not what I want to delve into. I know that when the dust proper settles, we will delve into it because Ghanaians deserve to know the truth,” Stonebwoy stated.
